Pridefloat Policies
- These policies have been established throughout the years - editing them each year as necessary. If they seem a bit hard, please note that we want uniform expectations so that every participant has a good time and that there are not any suprises on anyone's part. It is important that you read these policies carefully and thoughtfully before you download the entry form at the bottom of this form. IGNORANCE OF OUR POLICIES IS NOT AN EXCUSE for not following them.
- You must be 21 years of age or older to attend this event. We reserve the right to refuse admittance if proper ID can not be provided upon request.
- Pridefloat reserves the right to REFUSE ACCEPTANCE of any single entry or group of entries for any reason
- If you are caught sneaking in a non-registered camper, BOTH parties will be escorted off of the property immediately and neither will be returning to Pridefloat at any point in the future.
- SELLING your entry to a Third Party is not acceptable and the entry will be rejected upon arrival. You will be asked for ID when registering at Pridefloat. If your entry form does not match your ID, you better not set up camp because you will be asked to leave.
- All transfers must be handled by Camp Daddy Jeff 10 days in advance of the event.
- EACH person participating in Pridefloat must sign a WAIVER (on the bottom of the entry form) that releases the organizers of Pridefloat and the contracted outfitters from all liability of losses due to theft, accidental injuries, or drowning in the river.
- Money Orders only. Make the Money Order out to Pridefloat.
- WALK-INS are not accepted. Pridefloat is a pre-registration event. No exceptions.
- QUIET HOURS FROM 11:00 PM to 8AM means music must be off. This is campground policy – not ours – so we are bound to honor it.
- GENERATOR INFO:
OVER 80 DECIBELS: (Really loud units) NOT ALLOWED at Pridefloat.
MOTOR HOMES & CAMPER UNITS: 8am to 10:00 pm
HONDA UNITS – UNLIMITED HOURS because they are quiet.
- VISITORS - No visitors at any time will be allowed at Pridefloat. A Master List of Pridefloaters will be given to the General Store before the event and their security folks will restrict access to their property by using our list. If a name is not on their Master List, they will not be allowed onto the property.
- RAFTS – Can hold a maximum of 6 people, but must have a minimum of 4 people in them or there will be an extra fee of $25 charged for each vacant seat (i.e. a 3-man raft will have an additional $25 fee added to the regular fee).
- CAMPING is on a first come – first serve basis. Save space for your friends by bringing their tent and setting it up early.
- ALL PARTICIPANTS pay the basic entry fee of $35 REGARDLESS of arrival time. The basic entry fee will also apply to persons bringing their own canoe / raft / kayak . Pridefloat will pay for all hauling charges of your craft.
- DRUGS do NOT belong at Pridefloat! Leave your cocaine, mushrooms, meth, and all of that other shit at home! Drug dazed individuals run the risk of having their application rejected for the following year or being asked to leave.
- DISRUPTIVE individuals who are asked to leave Pridefloat may be removed by law enforcement if necessary, and will NOT receive a refund of any kind, and will not be allowed to return for a period of 1 year following the incident.
- SQUABBLES & MINOR SCUFFLES – Pridefloat Camp Daddies can not be expected to take sides in these incidents. Of course, major incidents will be dealt with appropriately, but minor incidents and scuffles must be resolved between the 2 parties. If one party requests that the other party not be allowed to return, then BOTH parties will be suspended for 1 year. Most of these are a result of drinking too much alcohol in the first place! Control your alcohol / control your actions.
- EARLY ARRIVALS will be charged a camping fee of $4.50 per person per night payable to the campground owners – not Pridefloat. Your basic entry covers camping costs for dates listed on entry form only.
- YOUR PHOTOGRAPH will probably be taken during Pridefloat. Many pictures are posted on our Website each year. If you discover that your picture is on our Website and you want it removed, a simple request is all that is needed to get it removed. Remember that you did sign a waiver which included your permission to use your photograph in/on promotional venues and our website.
- PETS: Pets are welcome. However, if your dog constantly barks at other dogs, do not bring it. There are other dogs around and no one wants to listen to a dog constantly barking at other dogs!!! You will also be expected to clean up any doggie poop from your animal.
- FUNDRAISING events such as 50/50 raffles or auctions for legitimate organizations are more than welcome. Please get prior approval before proceeding.
- VENDORS are welcome at Pridefloat. You bring all of your own display needs – including electrical needs.
- FIREWORKS and firearms, weapons, hunting items, and ammunition are strictly forbidden on the property.
- If we do float as a group, and you decide not to float with us, no refund will be available.
- Full refunds are available to individuals cancelling up to TEN (10) days prior to the event. To receive a full refund in advance, please contact : Pridefloat@kc.rr.com
- DINNER BUFFET Sat evening will occur rain or shine and is not refundable.
- SHIRT MONIES are non refundable. Please pick up your shirt upon arrival.
- If for any reason we, as a group, cannot float due to circumstances beyond our control, we will refund $25.00 per person upon request. All requests must be hand written (no copies) and sent to:
PRIDEFLOAT 4009 N.E. 72nd Terrace Gladstone MO 64119.
- Pridefloat does not make a profit. That is not our mission. No individual receives any compensation of any kind unless it is prize money for the contests. We keep a small balance in the bank each year to start up the following year before entries start coming in. Some of the costs that are not obvious to participants include the beer for the free beer bust (which aint’ cheap!), ice for the beer, your free coolee-cups, other souvenirs like your wrist bands and your free embroidered visors in 2011, security at the gate on Friday and Saturday evenings, web-server and website updates, DJ compensation, generous tips for our buffet caterers and the drivers of the 10 busses that serve us on Sunday AM, misc office supplies and mailing expenses. ALL money is returned to the event in one form or another. All staff members are volunteers. Your Camp Daddies are not paid. The Camp Daddies organize and run the event as a labor of love and once in awhile hate - so thank them if you get an opportunity!
- Pridefloat does not make DONATIONS to any charitable organization.
